Traditional Art
-
My traditional art practice combines tactile experimentation, expressive texture, character, and worldbuilding. Working across acrylics, heavy-body impasto, acrylic gouache, oil pastels, graphite, and watercolor, I mix and layer materials intuitively, treating the studio as both a creative laboratory and a space of discovery.
My paintings often feature characters from my speculative worlds, alongside friends, family, and observational studies. Rooted in Black Rural Futurism, the work explores memory, beauty, play, tenderness, and the possibility of painting images that feel like artifacts from lives and futures already in motion.
